As you walk among the headstones, you are traveling through 175 years of history.
Second Creek School, Church and Cemetery was initially deeded February 10, 1847.
Thomas and Nancy Cox donated the land with the only request that everyone
would be welcomed and no one could be denied or excluded based on personal
beliefs and we continue to honor that request.
In 1947 the cemetery was plotted and organized for the sale of plots by the
Church and Cemetery Trustees: Delbert Lowmiller, Jim Kuykendall and John Wills.
Many generations later, Second Creek Cemetery continues to receive help and
donations from the descendants of some of its earliest families and trustees.
The Second Creek Cemetery Association is a Non-Profit organization formed in
September 2014, to help restore, preserve and maintain Second Creek Cemetery
in the present and for future generations.
The Association received the deed of the 6 Acre cemetery and became the legal
caregivers in January 2015.
We are supported strictly through physical and financial donations.
All DONATIONS are used for the Support and Maintenance of Second Creek Cemetery.

Second Creek Cemetery Association is not affiliated with any Church or other Entity.
